Wachau

Discover Austrian wines from the Wachau district such as Riesling and Grüner Veltliner in our store.

The Wachau is the most important wine district and the smallest by extension of the five wine districts into which Lower Austria is divided, a renowned wine-growing area that is located north of Styria. The wines produced in this area are qualitatively superior to the other wines produced in the other  near areas that are named Kamptal, Carnuntum, Thermenregion, and Weinviertel, thanks to the balance and elegance that is distinguishing them. The most cultivated and vinified grape in this region is the indigenous Grüner Veltliner grape. The Riesling is a source of pride for Wachau, giving a very pleasant, fresh and structured wines. In our VINOSO.Shop we love to keep Riesling and Grüner Veltliner from different vintages to appreciate the evolution of these very long-lived white wines.
