What is La Socarrada

La Socarrada is a Spanish craft beer that adds to the carefully selected malts two components that are not trivial at all: rosemary and rosemary honey. The idea is to give this beer a strong Mediterranean note. It is amber in color, with some smoky notes, and a layer of white foam, not particularly persistent. Rosemary is master of the scene, both olfactoryly and tastely.

In fact, in the mouth you can feel intense herbaceous notes, with honey that well balances the drinking and takes away the intensity of the bitter. Notes of cherry, caramel, pear and pepper are also distinguished.

In the mouth we discover bitter at the right point, with the necessary effervescence. Beer of the highest quality and extremely balanced. Its characteristic aroma of rosemary and honey makes it defined as a gastronomic beer,a beer to eat, with an alcohol content of 6%, triple malt, double fermentation, without added gases, not filtered or pasteurized.

The beer refines in the bottle on its yeasts, necessary for a good evolution. A deposit of yeasts in the bottle is therefore completely natural. La Socarrada won awards in international competitions: it was awarded in 2012 and 2016 as one of the best flavors in the world by the International Taste & Quality Institute in Brussels (Belgium). Awarded in 2015 with the bronze medal in the South Beer Cup in South America in spicy and herbal style.
