The wine is crafted from a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc grapes. Notably, the vineyard follows organic cultivation practices. The 2018 vintage in Chianti Classico was highly regarded. The overall weather conditions were favorable, with a cold and rainy winter that provided the plants with ample water reserves. The subsequent warm and dry spring facilitated early flowering and ideal grape ripening. The summer was marked by sunny days, moderate temperatures, and cooler nights that helped preserve the desired acidity in the grapes. Autumn was also characterized by optimal weather conditions, allowing for a smooth and successful harvest of healthy and well-ripened grapes. As a result, the 2018 vintage produced wines of exceptional quality. These wines are noted for their elegant, balanced, and fruit-forward characteristics, along with silky tannins and vibrant acidity. Considered true oenological treasures, the 2018 wines can be enjoyed from the beginning but are also capable of developing beautifully with age. The composition of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc grapes in Basilica San Martino contributes to the wine's unique and international character.
