The historic Cafaggio Estate, located in Panzano within the renowned Conca d'Oro area of Chianti, comprises 60 hectares of land. With a long history dating back to 1408, the estate has changed hands over the centuries. Currently owned by ISA S.p.A, a financial company based in Trento since 2016, Cafaggio is dedicated to being a distinguished producer of Chianti Classico wines. The estate comprises 30 hectares of vineyards, 3 hectares of olive groves, and the remaining land is covered with woodland. Previously belonging to various entities, including the Benedictine monks of Siena, the Niccolini family of Florence, and the Florentine Hospital of Santa Maria Nuova, the estate was later renovated and revitalised by the Boddi family in the 19th century and the Farkas family in the 1960s. During the Farkas family's tenure, the cellars were restored and the vineyards and olive groves were given meticulous attention. Cafaggio is committed to continuous improvement and the careful management of the entire production process.
