TASTING NOTES
The Gustave Lorentz winery is a family business founded in 1836 and currently run by the sixth generation, headed by George Lorentz. It is located in the village of Bergheim in Alsace, a region renowned for its quality wines. Gustave Lorentz prides himself on producing exceptional wines, including his rosé made from Pinot Noir grapes harvested at the ideal level of ripeness. The grapes are gently pressed to extract the must, which is then fermented in tanks with the grapes' natural yeasts. In order to obtain the wine's characteristic pinkish hue, the grape skins are briefly macerated together with the must, a procedure different from the one used in the production of white wines. After fermentation and maceration, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks before bottling. The resulting rosé wine has a delicate pink colour and a fragrant bouquet of red fruits, such as strawberries and raspberries. The wine is absolutely refreshing and dry on the palate, with a vibrant aroma and elegant tannins. It is an excellent accompaniment for spicy dishes and Thai cuisine. Le Rosé 2023 by Gustave Lorentz offers a pleasant and delicious drinking experience, testifying to the company's commitment to producing high quality wines.

Gustave Lorentz Discover Cantina Gustave Lorentz in Alsace and its fine wines in our online store In Alsace, more precisely in the village of Bergheim, the Lorentz family has been involved in wine production for 250 years . In fact, in 1863 Charles Lorentz founded the winery moved by an incredible passion for the wine world. The vineyards are located on the hills of Altenberg de Bergheim and Kanzlerberg . It is thanks to a great passion handed down from generation to generation that the company still maintains very high quality levels today. According to the production philosophy, the essence of the wines is the result of the intimate and close relationship between vines, territory and climate. Currently the property includes 33 hectares and is entrusted to the sixth generation of the Lorentz family. Riesling , Pinot Grigio , Gewürztraminer and other varieties in the Altenberg hills express their typicality, year after year. The recognition for this perseverance took place in 1983, with the classification of these vineyards as " Gran Cru ".
