The judges praised this company's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and its goal of becoming climate positive by 2050, and found that the company has demonstrated how seriously it takes green issues through the co-founding of the International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA). Described by a judge as "true leaders in their field," this company stood out for its level of commitment to reducing emissions, large-scale use of renewable energy, and how it returns to the land through regenerative agriculture. They put into practice what they preach and support others to help them do the same. Soon the La Crema to include vineyards in Sonoma County, Mendocino and Monterey. In 2012, california was crossed to acquire several hectares of Pinot Noir in Oregon, in the famous Willamette Valley.
