TASTING NOTES
The Donna Olimpia 1898 Bolgheri Bianco DOC Jéroboam 2023 in Wooden Case represents the elegant and prestigious version of this renowned Tuscan white wine, designed for those wishing to share special moments with company or to give a striking gift. The 3-litre bottle, housed in a refined wooden case, highlights the quality and heritage of a wine made from Vermentino, Viognier, and Petit Manseng grapes cultivated on silty sandy soils along the Bolgheri coastal strip. Visually, it displays a bright, lively straw yellow of medium intensity, foreshadowing the freshness and minerality typical of the terroir. On the nose, it opens with a broad and complex bouquet featuring prominent notes of ground ginger, fresh fruit, white flowers, and a wet stone character, complemented by hints of garden herbs and green apple. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, savoury, and harmonious, with a bright and refreshing finish that invites another sip. The 2023 vintage, marked by optimal climatic conditions and rigorous grape selection, has produced a wine of great balance and longevity, carefully aged in stainless steel and on fine lees to ensure softness and complexity. The Jéroboam format, ideal for events and convivial gatherings, combined with the wooden case, makes this Bolgheri Bianco a refined and original gift, perfect for celebrating important occasions or enriching a cellar with a prestigious label. Donna Olimpia 1898 is a project born from the vision of Guido Folonari, creating elegant wines that represent the most authentic Tuscany. The Donna Olimpia 1898 Bolgheri Bianco DOC Jéroboam 2023 in Wooden Case is a white wine of strong personality, fresh, mineral, and complex, ideal for those seeking a shared tasting experience and a classy present.
