ORIGIN OF THE NAME
The name Donna Olimpia 1898 honours Olimpia Alliata, Lady of Biserno and wife of Gherardo della Gherardesca, who christened the estate in 1898 to mark their 25th wedding anniversary. This tale of love and tradition is deeply embedded in the winery's philosophy, which focuses on excellence and a profound respect for the terroir. The estate, located in the renowned Bolgheri region, combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern innovations, producing wines that reflect the richness of the land and the passion for viticulture.

Of ancient and noble origins, the Donna Olimpia 1898 estate was baptized in the same year in honor of Olimpia Alliata, Lady of Biserno and wife of Gherardo della Gherardesca on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of their wedding. Located in the heart of Bolgheri , in the province of Livorno, spread over 60 hectares, 45 of which are new vineyards planted following a study on clones and rootstocks.
