The company pichler-krutzler founded in 2006 by Elisabeth Pichler and Erich Krutzler. Together in the company they create unique wines with a noble soul, based on respect for nature,through sustainable viticulture. Each wine in fact reflects the territory from which it comes, it is harvested, vinified, aged and bottled without any assembly. Since there is no addition of sugar, no concentration or clarification,all wines reflect their origins. At the top of the banks of the Danube on the famous Steiner Pfaffenberg grow the vines that give rise to this wine. The land is very poor, in fact only a third of this area is covered with vegetation. They are composed of primary crystalline rocks dominated by Gneiss and Mica shale and is optimal for Riesling. Treated exclusively by hand and organic since 2017,they give fruits that transform, in the glass reveal all the attributes for a characteristic and refined wine: transparent and extremely elegant without any heaviness or richness. The age of these vineyards is 30/40 years and is harvested, by hand, in mid-October at full ripening. This allows to obtain a wine with a yellow-green color and very characteristic, mineral and spicy aromas; an elegant wine with a very long finish.
