Champagne Franck Bonville: Recoltant Manipulant of the Côte des Blancs which produces only Grand Cru

The Franck Bonville was born in Avize in 1900 when Alfred Bonville bought the first vineyards in the Côte des Blancs. To date it is a family reality of Recoltant Manipulant (RM) and has now reached its fourth generation with Olivier Bonville graduated in oenology in Reims, which has brought revolutions in the cellar and in the vineyard, with the arrival to a sustainable agriculture and respectful of the surrounding environment. The cultivation of the vineyard, in fact, under olivier's guidance, refers to the principles enshrined in the specification of the "HVE" (Haute Valeur Environnementale) and undertakes not to use herbicides and insecticides and to preserve the biodiversity of flora and fauna, naturally present among the rows. If the champagnes made at the time by dad Gilles Bonville still denote a solidity unknown to most vignerons, those signed by his son Olivier are characterized by finesse and precision. To date, the company boasts a vineyard heritage of 15 hectares, divided into 77 plots and all classified grand cru, in the municipalities of Avize, Oger and Les-Mesnil-sur-Oger. In these calcareous soils only chardonnay is cultivated to give life to a range of Blanc de Blancs of the highest level, vinified with extreme care and precision. The only exception of the line is rosé, whose red wine is the result of grapes purchased in Ambonnay. The wines Franck Bonville, wonderfully elegant, of great aromatic richness and pleasant freshness, perfectly represent the unmistakable style of the maison. Bonville's style is marked by great accuracy in the work in the cellar, long refinements and vinifications carried out exclusively in steel for all cuvées, except for the Les Belles Voyes label that was born, instead, following aging in barriques of vins clairs.
