All companies are certified for sustainability, and more than 50 nonprofit companies are supported to help the community where the companies are based. Kendall-Jackson's flagship wines are those of the Vintner's Reserve line, which highlights the vibrant fruit flavors of california's fresh coast. Chardonnay Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay Vinter's Resreve is one of California's best white wines for 26 years, and always award-winning. It is prepared from the assembly of wines produced from small batches of Chardonnay vineyards from different areas of the California coast: 52% Monterey County, 31% Santa Barbara County, 15% Mendocino County, 2% Sonoma County, each with its own peculiarities. Monterey County offers citrus and lime flavors. Santa Barbara County imparts mango and pineapple flavors. Mendocino County imparts notes of green apple. Sonoma County adds ripe pere flavors. Fermented and aged in oak barrels French and American for richness, toasting and complexity is raised with monthly battonage; this makes it a velvety and creamy wine. Sauvignon Blanc Vintner's Reserve For more than three decades Kendall-Jackson has been relentlessly committed to producing only the best quality wines from grapes grown in California's coastal vineyards. The combinations between vine, climate and soil are fundamental for this winery, which assembles wines from different small batches to obtain unique, rich and extraordinarily balanced products. The regions from which the grapes that make up this wine come from are: 94% Lake County, 4% Mendocino County, 2% Sonoma County. Lake County, the beating heart of this wine, brings floral, citrus and lemongrass notes, ripe flavors of melon, pineapple, and grapefruit. Mendocino County adds floral and honeysuckle aromas. Sonoma County offers a pinch of ripe pear. A touch of Semillon and Chardonnay complete the feeling in the mouth and provide the delicious fig notes. Less than 20% of this wine is fermented in predominantly American oak barrels. Delicious honeysuckle, ripe pear and lemongrass blend into this medium-bodied Sauvignon Blanc. Hints of grapefruit and tropical notes complete the subtle minerality of this fresh and aromatic wine. Zinfandel Vintner's Reserve The vineyards are mostly old, and have low yields. The soils in which they grow, all in the County of Mendocino, are gravelly loose and well-sloping, thus giving rise to fruity structured wines with soft tannins. This wine is aged 8 months in oak French and American, and a percentage equal to about 10%, is first-pass wood. In this Zinfandel the aromas of plum, raspberry and blackberry jam are supported by elegant tannins. Cedar and spice accents linger in this captivating and persistent wine.
