The name Franciacorta identifies, since 1200, a small region near the Lake Iseo , in the province of Brescia. The wine produced has always enjoyed a good reputation and the first written testimony dates back to 1570 describing wine with "bubbles" , a product defined by the ancients as lively and bubbly. Today, the word Franciacorta no longer identifies only the territory but also the wine ( the noble Italian DOCG «bollicine» ) and the Metodo Classico (refermentation in the bottle with minimum aging of 25 months after the harvest). Born in 1987 from an intuition of Emanuele Rabotti , Cabochon soon became one of the most important symbols of the company. Refinement, intensity, elegance and an endless perlage: this is Cabochon, the most prestigious Franciacorta of Monte Rossa.
