TASTING NOTES
The 2013 harvest will be remembered as “vintage”, as the grape harvesting operations began on average 15 days later than in the last 10 years, and ended in early November with the last bunches of Nebbiolo collected. In particular, the beginning of the vegetative cycle of the vine was conditioned by the slow start of spring and by the average low temperatures of March and April. Nebbiolo is the vine that has benefited most in the final part of the season, in fact it has been able to enjoy the high temperatures recorded in September and October, ideal for developing the phenolic framework that distinguishes it, and thus obtaining wines suitable for 'aging. The Barolo Cru Sant'Anna 2013 is in fact very fragrant with hints of strawberry and citrus. Medium body, linear tannins and brilliant acidity. It can already be uncorked in 2021 but it can be kept for a few more years, it will benefit from it.
