In 1998, Jean-Louis Saget decided to purchase Domaine de Terres Blanches for its outstanding characteristics. With a strong family tradition in Pouilly-sur-Loire, he immediately recognised the great potential of Sauvignon Blanc in the renowned Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé appellations. In 2010, Arnaud and Laurent Saget joined their father in the family business, concentrating their efforts on enhancing the terroir and the wines produced. Domaine de Terres Blanches owns 15 hectares of exceptional terroir in the Sancerre appellation, in the communes of Bué en Sancerre and Amigny, with 13.5 hectares dedicated to Sauvignon Blanc and 1.5 hectares to Pinot Noir. A further 2 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc are cultivated in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation, thus completing the estate's vineyards. The Domaine's identity is based on the terroirs from which the grapes come, respecting the soil as the mother of the wines to allow each product to express its uniqueness.
