TASTING NOTES
The Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru 2019 is sourced from a vineyard situated on the outskirts of Chambolle-Musigny, along the Route des Grands Crus, in close proximity to the Grand Cru Bonnes-Mares. The Pinot Noir grapes, harvested when perfectly ripe, are transported to the winery where they undergo a rigorous selection process before being destemmed. The vinification process adheres to traditional practices, with natural fermentation lasting 18 days due to the use of indigenous yeasts. The wine is matured for 15 months in one-year-old barrels from the forests of Haute Bourgogne. The wine boasts a fascinating red colour, a refined aromatic profile with notes of rose petals, raspberries, violets, chocolate, cherries in spirit, marron glacé, tobacco, heather and thyme. The wine's silky texture, delicacy, freshness, soft tannins and good acidity are evident in the mouth, while the finish conveys a feeling of great freshness and delicacy.

Edouard Delaunay

Edouard Delaunay Discover Edouard Delaunay in Burgundy, and his fine wines in our online store The Delaunay family originates from western France and has been linked to the world of wine for generations. Since 1771, Edme Delaunay has been a sworn wine broker by royal decree, demonstrating the constant quest for excellence and ambition that has characterised the Maison over the years. In 1934, the family was one of the founders of the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Tastevin, thus confirming its leading role on the wine scene. Laurent Delaunay, the fifth generation of the family, decided to rediscover and enhance the history of the Maison, reacquiring it in 2017 and bringing it back to the top of the great négociants of Burgundy. Thanks to the careful vinification and ageing of wines from the region's best terroirs, the Maison Edouard Delaunay has regained its prestige and continues to be a benchmark in the wine world.
