TASTING NOTES TASTING NOTES
It is the first wine of the company, the most widespread and represents the visiting card of Monte Rossa. Prima Cuvèe is obtained with Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grapes with a small percentage of Pinot Bianco. It stands out for its simplicity which translates into finesse, immediacy, pleasantness, fundamental characteristics for a quality Franciacorta. This cuvée is made up of 19 crus spread over 70 hectares of vineyards strategically distributed in the heart of Franciacorta. The harvest is done manually with the harvesting of the grapes in boxes. These, once brought to the cellar, are placed in a pneumatic press, which guarantees a soft pressing. Each cru is processed and vinified in purity. Part of the musts is vinified in steel vats at a controlled temperature while the rest is vinified in oak barrels. The base wine is now ready to be bottled with 20% reserve wine, and from here begins the second fermentation. 24 months of bottle aging and a low dosage are the key to obtaining this iconic Franciacorta Brut. In the glass it has a bright straw yellow color with an intense and persistent perlage. The nose is characterized by subtle notes of yeast, a lot of cheese crust, slightly creamy toast. On the palate it is complex and layered, with a long persistence, and a characteristic finish that seems salty. The Magnum bottle, 1.5l, with its original case, is a perfect gift.
