KIEDRICH KLOSTERBERG
VDP Erste Lage
GRAPE VARIETY
Riesling
TASTING NOTES
The Kiedrich Klosterberg Riesling Trocken 2024 by Robert Weil is an outstanding dry white wine from the Rheingau VDP Erste Lage, originating from the renowned Rheingau wine region in Germany. This vintage was characterised by balanced climatic conditions with mild temperatures and a pronounced diurnal temperature variation, factors that promoted a slow and harmonious ripening of the grapes. The result is a wine of great aromatic precision, vibrant freshness, and an elegant mineral structure. The Kiedrich Klosterberg vineyard, one of the most prestigious in the Rheingau, is known for its rocky soils composed of coloured slate, phyllite, and gneiss. These stony, well-draining soils, combined with perfect sun exposure on steep slopes, impart intense minerality and a complex aromatic profile to the Riesling, which is excellently expressed in the 2024 vintage. Visually, this Riesling appears clear and bright; on the nose it releases fresh and complex aromas of cedar, peach, and orange peel, together with delicate spices such as pepper and bay leaf. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, with a long finish and an ageing potential up to 2041. Robert Weil, a historic estate founded in 1875, combines tradition and sustainability to produce wines of the highest quality, with vintages highly praised by international critics.
