TASTING NOTES
The vineyard that produces the grapes for this Brunello Le Lucere is located on the eastern side of Montalcino, at an altitude of 280/3100 metres above sea level. The soil is of the Pliocene marine sediment type. It is clayey with yellowish-brown silty sand and sandstone of medium to fine grain, interspersed with thin layers of Pietraforte conglomerate. The grape variety is Sangiovese, planted at a density of 4,500 plants per hectare, with a yield of 6,000 kg of grapes per hectare. The harvest is by hand at the beginning of October. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats with a maceration period of 2 days at 10°C, followed by 10-12 days of maceration at 25-28 °C during and after fermentation. Malolactic fermentation takes place in cement tanks. The wine matures for 12 months in barriques and tonneaux, then 12-16 months in 20-30 HL oak barrels. The wine then matures for 10 months in the bottle. The Brunello Le Lucere 2019 has a ruby red colour with garnet reflections. The nose is intense, fine and elegant, with notes of cherries soaked in alcohol, enriched with spices and Mediterranean herbs. Thanks to the dense and silky tannins, the palate explodes with finesse and elegance. Harmonious and persistent thanks to its excellent body. Excellent nose-mouth correspondence.
