TASTING NOTES
In Apulia, the most important denomination, that of Primitivo di Manduria, put a delayed but excellent 2021 harvest in the cellar. The quality of the grapes immediately proved excellent from a phytosanitary point of view. Initially there were fears for an uncertain vintage, due to the high temperatures in July and August, but in the end technology and expertise saved the quality. As is well known, Primitivo and Negroamaro are two of the most important grape varieties in Apulia. They have also contributed to the spread and appreciation of Salento wines in Italy and around the world. Gloria is the most important wine of Vigneti Reale. The Primitivo grapes grown as small trees grow in the most suitable area for this variety, Manduria, producing one kilo of healthy, ripe, colourful and sugary grapes per plant. Ageing for 12 months in French barriques and at least 6 months in the bottle allows the powerful structure of this wine to soften and show notes of coffee, cocoa and vanilla, with a hint of liquorice. In the glass it is an intense ruby red, while the nose impresses with finesse and sweet aromas of berries. Perfect with grilled or roast meats and tasty cheeses. The Magnum format is perfect as a gift with its wooden box.

Amedeo and Damiano Reale are two brothers born and raised in the heart of Salento who took over the family business, already dedicated to viticulture since 1921. Counting on 100 hectares of owned vineyards, they made an important selection of the best vineyards, making significant changes to improve the quality of the grapes and to bottle all the wine produced on the farm. The Salento climate and sandy soils produce great grapes of Negroamaro , Primitivo , Malvasia and Chardonnay which are carefully vinified in the new production cellar in the countryside of Cellino San Marco . The company logo depicts the family villa, Villa Reale , dating back to the early 20th century, surrounded by a renowned Italian garden, underlining the deep-rooted family tradition in this splendid corner of Puglia .
