TASTING NOTES
In the glass looks pale yellow and clear colour with fine and persistent bubbles. At the nose is delicate and subtle, with fruity and floral aromas and a slightly brioche note. When you drink it, it feels fine and persistent bubbles, Mirabelle plum aromas and a delicate refreshing acidity. This Crémant d'Alsace Zéro Dosage 2020 makes a perfect partner for most aperitif and celebrations and should be served between 5 and 7°C, and perfect with a seafood starter! Making CREMANT D'ALSACE requires very strict conditions of production and continuous care. The grapes are picked healthy (without any trace of rot) carefully set down in the press in the respect of the rules identical to the “Méthode Traditionnelle”. After the traditional fermentation “Vin de Base” in tanks, it is in the bottle itself that the second fermentation "Prise de mousse” takes place in cool cellars. This natural phenomenon requires careful and patient attention to each bottle. After a minimum of 3 years ageing period “Sur lattes” the bottles are rotated during 4 days, gradually from the horizontal to the vertical position, in order to the yeast deposit to accumulate in the neck of the bottle. At the time of "dégorgement”, the neck of the bottle is frozen and, enclosed in ice, the sediment is ejected by natural pressure and the bottle is corked and wired, adding, just for the Cremant Zero Dosage, an unsweetened "liqueur d'expedition”.

In Alsace, more precisely in the village of Bergheim, the Lorentz family has been involved in wine production for 250 years . In fact, in 1863 Charles Lorentz founded the winery moved by an incredible passion for the wine world. The vineyards are located on the hills of Altenberg de Bergheim and Kanzlerberg . It is thanks to a great passion handed down from generation to generation that the company still maintains very high quality levels today. According to the production philosophy, the essence of the wines is the result of the intimate and close relationship between vines, territory and climate. Currently the property includes 33 hectares and is entrusted to the sixth generation of the Lorentz family. Riesling , Pinot Grigio , Gewürztraminer and other varieties in the Altenberg hills express their typicality, year after year. The recognition for this perseverance took place in 1983, with the classification of these vineyards as " Gran Cru ".
