TASTING NOTES
Cremant d'Alsace Zero Dosage 2021 by Gustave Lorentz stands out as an excellence in the realm of Alsatian sparkling wines, distinguished by its freshness and complexity. This vintage has benefited from favourable climatic conditions, with a growing season characterised by balanced temperatures and well-distributed rainfall, which allowed for optimal ripening of the grapes. Cremant is typically produced from varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay. For 2021, the grapes have been carefully selected, ensuring a perfect balance between acidity and aromaticity. The wine presents itself with a brilliant straw yellow colour and golden reflections. On the nose, fresh aromas of citrus and white flowers can be perceived, accompanied by a slight mineral note. On the palate, the Cremant is noted for its dryness and liveliness, with good structure and remarkable aromatic persistence, enhanced by the absence of residual sugars. Compared to the 2020 vintage, Cremant d'Alsace Zero Dosage 2021 is fresher and more savoury, emphasising fruity and mineral notes. This wine pairs beautifully with fish dishes, shellfish, and light appetisers. It is also ideal as an aperitif on special occasions. In conclusion, Gustave Lorentz's Cremant d'Alsace Zero Dosage 2021 not only represents the essence of Alsace but also offers a unique sensory experience that combines tradition and innovation in every sip. Its elegance and freshness make it a perfect choice for lovers of high-quality sparkling wine.

Gustave Lorentz Discover Cantina Gustave Lorentz in Alsace and its fine wines in our online store In Alsace, more precisely in the village of Bergheim, the Lorentz family has been involved in wine production for 250 years . In fact, in 1863 Charles Lorentz founded the winery moved by an incredible passion for the wine world. The vineyards are located on the hills of Altenberg de Bergheim and Kanzlerberg . It is thanks to a great passion handed down from generation to generation that the company still maintains very high quality levels today. According to the production philosophy, the essence of the wines is the result of the intimate and close relationship between vines, territory and climate. Currently the property includes 33 hectares and is entrusted to the sixth generation of the Lorentz family. Riesling , Pinot Grigio , Gewürztraminer and other varieties in the Altenberg hills express their typicality, year after year. The recognition for this perseverance took place in 1983, with the classification of these vineyards as " Gran Cru ".
