TASTING NOTES
Maison Charles Heidsieck is renewed in its tradition with a precious production of this red Coteaux Champenois from Ambonnay, the favorite wine of the Chef de Cave, Cyril Brun. A real invitation to be inspired by the mastery of the art of blending and the expression of a unique terroir. The Les Champsots parcel, where Pinot Noir grapes grow, is located in the heart of the Ambonnay terroir, a Grand Cru located on the southern slope of Mount Reims. The vineyard, naturally suited to the production of red wines, was chosen by Cyril to exploit all its potential. At the eyes the color is brilliant ruby red. The nose initially reveals notes of black fruits (currants, blackberries and black cherries), then leaving room for floral and spicy aromas (ginger, licorice, pepper and cinnamon). By rotating the glass, smoky aromas are released, almost with a sensation of peat. In the mouth the wine is full, generous, tannic with a silky finish with exquisite hints of salted caramel. Ready to drink in 2022, it can be stored for another 10 years. This Magnum bottle with its elegant wooden case, is a perfect gift.
