Appellation d'origine contrôlée
GRAPE VARIETY
Chardonnay 50%, Pinot Noir 25%, Pinot Meunier 25%
TASTING NOTES
The Chardonnay is sourced primarily from the Grand Cru vineyards of Le Mesnil sur Oger and Oger. The Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are cultivated on the right bank of the Marne valley, between Epernay and Dormans. This blend is composed of the first two pressings of the musts, namely Coeur de Cuvée and Cuvée. The musts are decanted at a low temperature for 24 hours. The Cuvée Prestige is vinified in large oak barrels with indigenous yeasts, without malolactic fermentation, and maturation on the lees in oak barrels for an average of 12-15 months. A blend of 11 different vintages is used, with a minimum of 70% reserve wines. Matured at least four years in the cellar before release. The dosage of MCR (concentrated grape juice) is adapted to its development. The disgorgement date is always printed on the back label. This Champagne has a beautiful golden yellow colour and a delicious nose of pure fruit, accompanied by a hint of pastry. The palate is seductively fresh, with a pleasant structure and intense, complex and persistent aromas. This Champagne is absolutely complete.

Collard-Picard

Collard-Picard Discover Maison Collard-Picard and its fine Champagnes in our online store The Maison Collard-Picard, founded in 1996 by Olivier Collard and Caroline Picard, is a contemporary Champagne House that focuses on traditional techniques. The winery is located in Villers-sous-Châtillon, in the Vallé de la Marne, overlooking the valley. The wines produced by the winery do not undergo malolactic fermentation, thus guaranteeing their freshness and longevity. This practice, although uncommon in Champagne, is used by Collard-Picard to ensure the long-term expressiveness of its wines. The house's champagnes are known for their strong connection to the land and the distinctive character imparted by the Pinot Meunier grape. Collard-Picard champagnes are characterised by a combination of noble vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne and the prestigious terroir of the Côte des Blancs, where chardonnay is the dominant grape. The winery's approach is gentle and nature-oriented, with the aim of maintaining a harmonious relationship with the environment. The result of these factors is a high level of excellence in the wines.
