TASTING NOTES
Domaine Bachey-Legros has been a family owned and operated winery for 6 generations. These successive generations of the family have passed on, in its entirety, a unique heritage and philosophy. Philosophy is to respect the vine, nature and the work of their predecessors: the idea of leaving each vine to live, produce and die as naturally as possible. Les Charmes is located just above the 1er crus Clos Rousseau in Santenay. Planted in 1950, the old vines penetrate deeply into the calcareous soil and give it a wine with rich, soft and silky tannins. Refinement of this great wine requires 14 months: 12 in stainless steel sur lies without decanting, then 2 months in wooden barrels (100% French oak, of which 25% new). A round wine, of a beautiful garnet red color, with aromas of fresh cherry with a spicy tip. The elegance, the finesse of exquisite fruit, the good persistence in the mouth, reveal a wine of great importance.

The history of Domaine Bachey Legros is the history of six generations starting from the 19th century. The oenological creed based on respect for the vineyard, nature and the work of the predecessors is unchanged. The wealth of the company is in the old vineyards, planted for the most part between 1935 and 1955, which give powerful and elegant wines , deeply identifying the territory. The total extension of the vineyards is 18 hectares on the best lands of Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet and Maranges , where the finesse of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero is expressed .
