TASTING NOTES
The 2022 harvest of Dolcetto d'Alba was characterised by favourable climatic conditions that had a significant impact on the quality of the grapes. The winter was mild and dry, with above-average temperatures and little rainfall, creating a situation of water stress for the vines. However, spring brought abundant rains that favoured good vegetative development. As summer arrived, temperatures increased, leading to an early harvest, which took place from 30 August to 17 September. This hot and dry climate contributed to an even ripening of the grapes, resulting in smaller bunches and a higher concentration of sugars. Despite the heat, the grapes maintained a good balance between sugars and acidity, which is essential for ensuring the freshness of the wine. Dolcetto Savincato 2022 has an intense ruby red color with evident violet reflections. The nose is intense and fruity and notes of small fruits such as cherry, blueberry and blackberry are noted. In the mouth it is full, harmonious and persistent.
ORIGIN OF THE NAME
