TASTING NOTES
The Crémant d'Alsace needs strict production conditions and continuous monitoring. The grapes are carefully selected, free of impurities, and then stored in the press, in compliance with the "Champenoise method". After the first traditional fermentation, in the steel tanks at controlled temperature, the second fermentation takes place in the bottles. We are witnessing the 'foaming' process. This natural process must be followed carefully so that, in every single bottle, the right result is achieved. It follows the aging period to end with the remuage and final disgorgement, for a total of at least 18 months of sur lie stay.

The balance and freshness of the Crémant di Gustave Lorentz due to the skilful choice of different grape varieties. Thanks to these peculiarities, Crémant d'Alsace is a perfect partner for aperitifs and cocktails.

Gustave Lorentz Discover Cantina Gustave Lorentz in Alsace and its fine wines in our online store In Alsace, more precisely in the village of Bergheim, the Lorentz family has been involved in wine production for 250 years . In fact, in 1863 Charles Lorentz founded the winery moved by an incredible passion for the wine world. The vineyards are located on the hills of Altenberg de Bergheim and Kanzlerberg . It is thanks to a great passion handed down from generation to generation that the company still maintains very high quality levels today. According to the production philosophy, the essence of the wines is the result of the intimate and close relationship between vines, territory and climate. Currently the property includes 33 hectares and is entrusted to the sixth generation of the Lorentz family. Riesling , Pinot Grigio , Gewürztraminer and other varieties in the Altenberg hills express their typicality, year after year. The recognition for this perseverance took place in 1983, with the classification of these vineyards as " Gran Cru ".
