TASTING NOTES
Tiraki Sauvignon Blanc is a New Zealand white wine known for its fresh and refreshing flavours of citrus, tropical fruit and herbaceous notes. It is generally dry and light, making it a popular choice for pairing with seafood, salads and light dishes. The wine is best enjoyed young and served chilled to fully appreciate its lively acidity and fruity character. Marlborough, located at the northern end of New Zealand's South Island, is the country's largest and most renowned wine region, best known for its distinctive Sauvignon Blanc. Marlborough's terroir, with its unique climate, soil and landscape, creates the perfect conditions for producing vibrant and aromatic wines. The grapes are harvested manually early in the morning, during full ripeness, to avoid the heat. After an initial cold decantation, alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about twenty days. Approximately 20 per cent of the wine ferments spontaneously in a combination of oak barrels and steel tanks, helping to add complexity, body and texture to the wine. Subsequently, the wine is matured on the lees for five months before bottling. On the nose, aromas of passion fruit, guava, peach, grapefruit and melon give this Sauvignon Blanc a unique concentration and elegance. In the mouth, notes of tropical fruit give the wine weight and structure, adding complexity to a long and persistent finish.
