TASTING NOTES
The 2023 vintage in Valpolicella was characterised by favourable climatic conditions that contributed to optimal grape maturation. The season began with a mild winter and a rainy spring, followed by a warm and dry summer, allowing the grapes to develop uniformly. Winemakers were able to harvest high-quality grapes, achieving a good balance between acidity and sugars, which are essential for producing elegant and complex wines. The Ca'Bussin 2023 Valpolicella Classico DOC by Boscaini Carlo is produced using traditional winemaking techniques. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected. After pressing, the must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve fresh and fruity aromas. Fermentation occurs without the addition of selected yeasts, enhancing the characteristics of the terroir. Following fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels for a period that varies according to the vintage, contributing to greater complexity and structure. The Ca'Bussin 2023 presents a bright ruby red colour. On the nose, it offers an intense aromatic bouquet with notes of fresh red fruits, such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by delicate floral and spicy nuances. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, with soft and well-integrated tannins. Its light structure makes it extremely versatile, perfect for pairing with a variety of dishes. The finish is persistent and harmonious, with a pleasant mineral note typical of the region.
