TASTING NOTES
The grapes selected for the Estia 2020 wine are hand-harvested in the second half of September, following careful evaluation in the vineyard. After a brief cold soak, the grapes are destemmed and fermented in stainless steel containers at controlled temperatures to preserve freshness and aromatic integrity. At the end of fermentation, the wine is transferred to large Slavonian oak barrels, where it matures on the fine lees for at least 20 months. The aging process concludes with an additional 6 months in bottle, allowing the wine to develop complexity and harmony. Estia presents a deep ruby red color, enhanced by garnet reflections that highlight its structure. On the nose, it offers a captivating bouquet that ranges from notes of ripe blackberries to delicate boisè nuances, creating a rich and enveloping aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine reveals a pleasant creaminess, supported by a juicy acidity that perfectly balances an important tannic structure, imparting elegance and persistence.
ORIGIN OF THE NAME
The name Estia symbolizes the element of fire, evoking the Roman goddess who protects the hearth and warmth, a nod to the passion and artistry of winemaking.
