CALVADOS PAYS D'AUGE
Appellation d'Origin Contrôlée
TASTING NOTES
This Calvados AOC Pays d'Auge Vieille Réserve from Marquis de Saint-Loup is made in the heart of the Pays d'Auge appellation, on a 17th-century estate near the village of Saint Pierre. Delicate aromas of sweet cider, baked apples, gingerbread, vanilla and cinnamon notes with a finish of almond, beeswax and honey. Vieille Réserve is composed of several Calvados AOC Pays D'Auge, all aged in old wine barrels for at least six years. This calvados is a perfect blend of complexity and flavor, with a surprising floral and fruity aroma made possible by double distillation. Perfect for trou normand or to be paired to Livarot cheese that features an aromatic taste of almost smoky hay and a penetrating perfume.
