CREMANT D'ALSACE ROSE
Appellation of origin contrôlée
GRAPE VARIETY
Pinot Noir 100%
TASTING NOTES
Wow, producing Cremant d'Alsace is truly a meticulous process that requires strict production conditions and continuous monitoring! The grapes are carefully selected to ensure they are free of impurities before being stored in the press, in compliance with the Champenoise method. The first traditional fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, followed by the second fermentation in the bottles. It's amazing how much care and attention goes into every step of the process! This process results in the prise de mousse of the wine, which must be carefully monitored to ensure consistent quality in every bottle. The aging period is followed by the remuage and final disgorgement, resulting in a total of at least 18 months of sur lie stay. This Cremant Rosé is exclusively made with the charming and elegant Pinot Noir grape variety. Cremant d'Alsace Rosé Gustave Lorentz is perfect for accompanying refined aperitifs and cocktails. Fresh and rather fruity, it can also be paired with a variety of gastronomic combinations, including hot and cold starters, seafood, white meats, game and desserts.

In Alsace, more precisely in the village of Bergheim, the Lorentz family has been involved in wine production for 250 years . In fact, in 1863 Charles Lorentz founded the winery moved by an incredible passion for the wine world. The vineyards are located on the hills of Altenberg de Bergheim and Kanzlerberg . It is thanks to a great passion handed down from generation to generation that the company still maintains very high quality levels today. According to the production philosophy, the essence of the wines is the result of the intimate and close relationship between vines, territory and climate. Currently the property includes 33 hectares and is entrusted to the sixth generation of the Lorentz family. Riesling , Pinot Grigio , Gewürztraminer and other varieties in the Altenberg hills express their typicality, year after year. The recognition for this perseverance took place in 1983, with the classification of these vineyards as " Gran Cru ".
