Antonella Corda winery is a family-run business that has been passed down through generations, with a focus on quality and tradition in winemaking. Antonella Corda is a female winemaker who is passionate about preserving the indigenous grape varieties of Sardinia and crafting unique and expressive wines. The Vermentino grape is indigenous to Sardinia and is renowned for producing crisp, refreshing white wines. Serdiana's climate is characterized by hot, dry summers and mild winters, which is ideal for ripening Vermentino grapes. The 2023 vintage in Serdiana has produced high-quality Vermentino wines due to ideal growing conditions, with notes of citrus, tropical fruits, and vibrant acidity. The 2023 vintage from Serdiana is expected to showcase the unique terroir of the region, including the influence of the nearby Mediterranean Sea. The grapes were hand-harvested in boxes during the first ten days of September, whipped by the wind that constantly blows over these vineyards. The resulting wine was aged on the lees for 6 months, resulting in a full, intense, fragrant, and fat-free wine that captures all the aromas of the Mediterranean in the glass. This Vermentino 2023 has intense aromas of ripe stone fruit, green beans, and a hint of tropical fruit. It has a lively palate and pairs well with fish and shellfish first courses.
