TASTING NOTES
The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc harvest in the Oltradige and Renon regions was affected by extreme weather conditions. A cool and rainy spring and a wet summer followed the early bud break. South Tyrol experienced high temperatures in July and August. Early September brought rain and the long-awaited dry autumn. The high humidity at this time of year was a challenge for the vine growers, who had to be very vigilant and work the vines extensively. Although the rainfall was not excessive, the constant humidity demanded constant attention. Despite these challenges, the 2023 white wines are fresh, bright, fruity, and light. The grapes are hand-picked at full maturity in late September and brought to the winery for vinification. After careful selection and soft pressing, the wine undergoes alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The wine is then left to mature in stainless steel vats for around four months before being bottled.
