GRAPE VARIETY
Vermentino 100%
TASTING NOTES
The grapes, whipped by the wind that constantly blows over these vineyards, were harvested by hand in boxes during the first ten days of September. The resulting wine was aged on the lees for 6 months, giving us a full, intense, fragrant and fat-free wine that gathers all the aromas of the Mediterranean in the glass. Intense aromas of ripe stone fruit, green beans and a hint of tropical fruit for this Vermentino 2022. It is lively on the palate. It goes well with fish and shellfish first courses. Excellent as an aperitif. Antonella Corda is a Sardinian wine producer with a long history. Her mother Maria is the daughter of Antonio Argiolas, who did so much to bring wine to the beautiful Italian island of Sardinia. The famous winemaker died at the age of 104 and no doubt inspired his granddaughter to study agronomy. He also left her two of his most prized vineyards, north of Cagliari. Antonella Corda began working the family's 15 hectares of vineyards and 12 hectares of olive trees in 2010, and began producing her own bottled wine in 2016. From July 2021, the winery is certified as having successfully completed the process of conversion to organic farming.
