A charming wine. A name that says it all: this wine is made to seduce. Les Charmes is located just above the 1er crus Clos Rousseau in Santenay. Planted in 1950, the old vines penetrate deeply into the calcareous soil and give it a wine with rich, soft and silky tannins. Refinement of this great wine requires 14 months: 12 in stainless steel sur lies without decanting, then 2 months in wooden barrels (100% French oak, of which 25% new). A round wine, of a beautiful garnet red color, with aromas of fresh cherry with a spicy hint. The elegance, the finesse of exquisite fruit, the good persistence in the mouth, reveal a wine of great importance.
