Obizzo is obtained from Vermentino grapes from the vineyards located in Bolgheri (LI), on the coastal strip of the Tyrrhenian Sea, lying on a sandy and silty soil. The harvest takes place at full maturity of the grapes in September. The fruit, selected in the vineyard, are then taken to the cellar to be vinified. After pressing, the juice obtained is statically decanted at a temperature of 10 °C and fermented with selected yeasts at a temperature of 18-20 °C, once the alcoholic fermentation is completed and the racking has been carried out, the wine remains to refine sur lie for 5 months in jars stainless steel vats before bottling. Pale straw yellow in color, the nose is clear, broad with notes of citrus, white flowers and honey. Full and savory harmonious taste with a persistent and pleasant aftertaste.

Obizzo was a blond character in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy.
