TASTING NOTES
For this Brunello Riserva Le Lucére 2015 the best grapes harvested in mid-October and vinified in stainless steel tanks were selected. A cold pre-maceration for 3 days (during which two fullings a day are carried out in the absence of oxygen) and a hot maceration for 10 days (during which alternating punching down and pumping over in the air) characterize the fermentation whose phase tumultuous, at a controlled temperature, lasted 17 days. The malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete vats. The aging in wood, partly in barriques, partly in barrels, lasts for 34 months. During this period the wine is racked and blended every 4 months. The 16 months of bottle aging are also fundamental. The color is ruby red with shades tending to garnet. The intense, fine and complex aroma develops on notes of morello cherry enhanced by a background of spices, mainly cinnamon and cloves. On the palate, the initial tactile phase in which the structure, fullness and roundness are appreciated, is followed by a persistent finish ensured by the dense and silky tannic texture and by a harmonious return of the final olfactory notes. It is a splendid Brunello with superb concentration and depth, to start thinking about opening after 2020.
