TASTING NOTES
The months of April and May of spring 2019 were very rainy and the temperature changes contributed to slowing down the vegetative development of the plants. Flowering was postponed for about ten days and developing few berries. Although the month of June was very hot and dry, but the vines did not suffer from drought and reached perfect vegetative development. In July, however, thunderstorms increased accompanied by local hailstorms in some cases of considerable magnitude, but which spared the Boscaini company. The rainfall in August, even if not intense, favored continuous thermal excursions thus helping a constant but slow ripening of the grapes, with a good accumulation of polyphenols and anthocyanins. The harvest began in the second half of September with a delay of about 15-20 days compared to the 2018 harvest. Ruby red wine, expresses strong hints of fresh fruit on the nose, soft tones and roundness on the palate with returns of fruity sensations dominated by cherry. This Valpolicella is the ideal accompaniment for Italian first courses. We recommend serving at room temperature.
