TASTING NOTES
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, with the cap emerging with daily pumping over, and then continuing with the cap submerged in order to facilitate the extraction of color and aromas, prolonging the maceration for a few days. Malolactic fermentation takes place immediately after alcoholic fermentation. Aging is 24 months in French oak barrels (50% new, 50% one year) and 12 months in bottle. Very intense garnet red color with violet reflections. Net and intense nose for this very suggestive red that shows black cherries, blackberries, vanilla, marked violets and fresh herbs. Full-bodied and very structured, it frames layers of dark fruit with an incisive acidity. Full flavor, warm, slightly dry and very well done. Drink in 2023.
ORIGIN OF THE NAME
Just as without land no new seed germinates, without past the future does not flourish. Look back, look forward. Look over your shoulder, look at the horizon. A double look even more felt by those who have left, by force or by choice, something important behind them. Setting out on a journey to a new horizon.
