Description

RIESLING RESERVE
Alsace Appellation of origin contrôlée
GRAPE VARIETY
Riesling 100%
TASTING NOTES
The long slopes and limestone and clay hills surrounding the village of Bergheim are perfect for the Riesling to mature optimally. The resulting wine has a bright pale yellow color. The nose is expressive, refined, with citrus aromas and mineral hints due to the limestone of the soil. In the mouth it is lively and pleasantly acid. A Riesling Reserve with a great structure and a clean and dry flavor. A dry Riesling Reserve, typical of Alsace. Perfect with raw, steamed or grilled fish. Seafood and white meat are other great alternatives.

Gustave Lorentz

Gustave Lorentz Discover Cantina Gustave Lorentz in Alsace and its fine wines in our online store In Alsace, more precisely in the village of Bergheim, the Lorentz family has been involved in wine production for 250 years . In fact, in 1863 Charles Lorentz founded the winery moved by an incredible passion for the wine world. The vineyards are located on the hills of Altenberg de Bergheim and Kanzlerberg . It is thanks to a great passion handed down from generation to generation that the company still maintains very high quality levels today. According to the production philosophy, the essence of the wines is the result of the intimate and close relationship between vines, territory and climate. Currently the property includes 33 hectares and is entrusted to the sixth generation of the Lorentz family. Riesling , Pinot Grigio , Gewürztraminer and other varieties in the Altenberg hills express their typicality, year after year. The recognition for this perseverance took place in 1983, with the classification of these vineyards as " Gran Cru ".
