For over three decades, Kendall-Jackson has remained relentlessly committed to producing only the best quality wines from grapes grown in California's cool coastal vineyards. They carefully match micro-areas to soil types for each grape variety, then process each vineyard lot separately throughout the entire winemaking process. Their approach to winemaking has earned a worldwide reputation as producers of rich, complex yet balanced wines. The previously de-stemmed grapes are cold pressed to ensure freshness and aromas. Fermentation in French barriques adds complexity to the wine, while the 5 months of sur lie refinement give the typical sumptuousness to this Californian Chardonnay. It is also aged 7 months in French (5% new) and American (7% new) oak. Beautifully integrated tropical flavors such as pineapple, mango and papaya, with citrus notes that explode in the mouth. These flavors are delicately intertwined with vanilla and honey aromas to create depth and balance. A hint of toasted oak and butter completes the long and persistent finish.
