TASTING NOTES
The grapes that contribute to the creation of this wine grow in the flat area surrounding the town of Dürnstein, along the Danube River, on sandy, gravel-rich sediments that are therefore well drained. These soils give rise to an aromatic wine characterized by timeless elegance. Since 2017 these soils have been worked following organic viticulture guidelines while the wine and winery have been certified organic since 2019 - AT-BIO 402. The year 2022 was a cool year with light and moderate rains interspersed, especially from late April to late September with days with temperatures between 18 and 24 degrees and well ventilated. This a created the ideal climatic conditions for absolutely balanced and elegant wines. The Grüner Veltliner Dürnstein is the coolest wine in the entire range of wines produced. The early harvest results in moderate alcohol content and invigorating, well-integrated acidity. The wine is totally dry, lively and is generally drunk young. The color is bright greenish yellow, with slightly exotic, floral and spicy aromas. Pleasantly fresh, well balanced and exquisite on the finish.
