TASTING NOTES
To produce this Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2016, the best grapes of Tenuta San Filippo have been selected. The harvest was carried out in mid-October and the grapes were cold pre-macerated at a temperature of 10 ° C for 3 days (during which two fullings a day were carried out in the absence of oxygen). stainless steel tanks, followed by a long maceration at 28/30 ° C for 10 days (during which alternating punching down and pumping over in the air). The malolactic fermentation was deliberately carried out in concrete vats. Aging is a very important part of the production of Lucere Riserva, and in this case it was done in wood (part barrique, part barrels) for 34 months. During this period the wine is decanted and blended every 4 months. 16 months in the bottle have completed the production cycle of this splendid Le Lucere Riserva 2016. The color is ruby red with shades tending to garnet. The intense, fine and complex aroma develops on notes of morello cherry enhanced by a base note of spices, mainly cinnamon and cloves. On the palate, the initial tactile phase in which its structure, fullness and softness is appreciated, is followed by a persistent finish ensured by the dense and silky tannic texture and by a harmonious return of the olfactory closing notes.
