Lugana Franco Visconti bears the name from the family that created the history of Lugana. Growned on the gentle hills of Sirmione, in the heart of Lugana, by Garda Lake, it was one of the first wines made using exclusively the Turbiana grape variety. After many years, it is still made starting from the historic Cru, which, thanks to the particular exposure of the vineyard and its peculiar composition, allows to a wine of great elegance and softness. The selection of the grapes and the slightly long maturation compared to the younger Lugana enrich and complete the sensory profile, connoting it with deep mineral notes and a great aging potential. Brilliant straw yellow, the nose is intense, elegant and particularly fine; the notes of white flowers, combined with the fruity ones, are completed by a marked minerality that fully reflects the typicality of Lugana coming from the Sirmione vineyards. In the mouth it is characterized by character and structure, with notes of white fruit and a typical vegetable scent, well balanced by a homogeneous savory note. Naturally paires dishes based on lake fish, both baked and boiled, but also pasta with lobster, pasta with sardines, white meats, tasty soups, vegetable dishes. It is recommended to be served at a cool temperature, around 12° C.
